The zoo in Waikiki is a pleasant stroll through a
tropical botanical garden with animals. Few of the
habitats have bars but while the animals can't get out, it looks like they have a chance. The elephants looked happier in their new digs.
They used to stand in the corner of the old pen rocking back and forth to pass
the time, but now they have room to wonder. The Komodo Dragon could use more room and a few friends, although it didn't look like it had moved since the last time I was there. Tigers never look happy in zoos no matter what so maybe they should be turned loose. I'd burn more calories between restaurants and hotel rooms if tigers roamed around Waikiki. Enjoy yourself like a monkey picking bugs!
